JULIEN BANCILLON

Julien Bancillon studied at the Conservatoire National de Région de Lyon and the Conservatoire National Supérieure de musique et de danse de Lyon. He also obtained a diploma of choreography.
During his education he won 2 golden medals and danced several ballets such as: Concero en Who Cares? (George Balanchine), Return to a strange land (Jiri Kylian), Les Sylphides (Michel Fokine) ,..
At the Ballet du Grand Théâtre Genève, he danced the whole company repertoire: Tarantella (G.Balanchine), Axioma 7 (Ohad Naharin), Steptext (W. Forsythe), Farewell (Etienne Frey),…..
He also danced several choreographies of guest choreographers (Amanda Miller, Rui Horta, Michel Kelemenis,…).
At Les Ballets de Monte Carlo, where he became soloist in 2004 and principal in 2007, he danced the creations of Jean-Christophe Maillot (ao Men’s dance, Opus 40, Entrelacs, Caisse Noisette Circus,….) as well as leading rolls in ballets such as de the father in Belle, the prince in Cinderella, Roméo and Benvolio in Roméo en Julia,...
